This post will give you all the tips you need to create the ultimate beachy boho bedroom of your dreams.
Don’t worry even if you don’t live on the coast that doesn’t mean that you can’t achieve a beachy boho feel for your bedroom. If you are anything like me after every coastal vacation I am always trying to find a way to bring some elements of the beachy vibe back home with me.
You are going to learn all the tips for creating the perfect boho space with white furniture, natural elements, tropical plants, and more.
After reading the below tips you will be a beachy boho bedroom master and will be turning your house into a laid-back coastal retreat in no time.
Beachy Boho Bedroom
1. White Furniture
A great place to start adding a beachy feel to your room is with white furniture. This will be the perfect backdrop to incorporate prints of all kinds and any paint colors you decide to go with on the walls. If you have a small room incorporating white furniture will help make your room feel larger than it actually is.

2. Blue Accents
Anytime I think of beachy boho style it includes some variation of blue.
Blue accents are one of the best ways to achieve an effortless coastal look. One of the more subtle ways to incorporate blue would be through accessories like throw pillows, bedding, or artwork. If you want blue to be a focal point of your design paint your walls blue.
Opt for soft, soothing hues these will evoke a sense of calmness and openness.
3. Natural Materials
If you are at the beach you have access to a lot of great natural materials to decorate your shelves and bedside tables.
Who needs Homesense when you can bring your accessories home from the beach? Look for driftwood, colorful beach stones, seashells, and sand to fill glass jars with. Driftwood is a great way of warming up a space with natural wood tones.

4. Tropical Plants
If you live in the right climate, and have a green thumb introducing lots of greenery to your room will add another layer of color to your room while still giving seriously cool seaside style. Succulents or palm varieties of plants will mimic the coastal vegetation.
If you aren’t able to keep plants alive (like me) consider incorporating fake plants or a print with tropical plants on it.
5. Natural Fibers
An easy way to create a coastal style in your master bedroom is with natural fibers like bamboo, linen, hemp, and cotton. Add a neutral comforter and flowing linens to your bed with pillows in a shade of blue to mimic ocean hues.
The good thing is that adding natural fibers keeps up with the latest decor trend of linen sheets and lots of layered blankets on the bed to add interest and texture.
You don’t need to keep the natural fibers just to your bed sheets. If you have the space add a canopy bed, this will really elevate the boho vibe of your room.
6. Laid-Back Look
Lean into the bohemian style and go for a more laid-back look with a canopy bed frame, hanging seat, tropical plants, and natural wood accents. To help you achieve that more laid-back look opt to shop at thrift stores over home goods. Thrifting is a great way to achieve a boho style.
7. Neutral Furniture Pieces
Create a timeless beachy look with neutral furniture pieces.
Layering in wicker baskets and other wicker furniture is a great way to stay with current interior design trends but will also help add more texture to your space.
Look for weathered or distressed pieces to mimic the effects of saltwater and sun on coastal materials.

8. Coastal Lighting
Incorporate light fixtures that bring in a touch of coastal charm. Woven pendant lights, driftwood lamps, and airy chandeliers can all enhance the beachy vibe.
9. Color Palette
Bright white walls, different shades of blue, and sandy beiges are great colors to help build your beachy boho vibe. You can choose to keep your pallet neutral or go for something more bold whatever fits best with your personal style, and don’t forget to consider the style of the rest of your house to help keep things cohesive.
10. Natural Elements
Consider hanging artwork that reflects the beach, sea, or marine life. A large beach-themed painting or framed print can be an excellent focal point in the room. If you opt for white walls a colorful beach print will prevent your room from feeling too sterile.
A large beachy framed print not for you? Try a shiplap feature wall or a wood slat feature wall to add interest to your room.
11. Nautical Motifs
Consider incorporating nautical elements If you want a more beachy look to your room head to your local thrift stores or surf shops (if you live on the coast) to try and find second-hand surf accessories. Grab a surfboard to put in the corner of your room and make it a feature in your design.
12. Dreamy Home Escape
Your house is a reflection of you and also the place you come home to at the end of the day to relax. Coming home to a bright dreamy home escape will make all of the difference. We spend a lot of time in our bedrooms so make sure to spend the time finding the elements from beachy boho that will make you feel the most relaxed.
13. Natural Light
Keep the layout open and uncluttered. Avoid heavy pieces that make the space feel closed off and give the illusion of more space. Use sheer curtains for a touch of beachy charm and to let more natural light in.
